+++ DSV Pokalspiel gegen Hamburger TB am Samstag
Am kommenden Samstag steht für die Wasserballer des EFSC eine erste Bewährungsprobe auf dem Plan. Zwar startet der offizielle Ligabetrieb der 2. Liga Süd erst im November, aber die Männer um Spielertrainer Sebastian Held müssen ihre spielerischen Fähigkeiten bereits am Wochenende unter Beweis stellen, obwohl man aktuell noch mitten in der konditionellen Vorbereitungsphase steckt.
Vielmehr handelt es sich am Samstag, 07. Oktober um 16:45 Uhr um ein Pokalspiel des Deutschen Schwimmverbandes (DSV) gegen den Hamburger TB von 1862. Frankfurt agiert hierbei als Gastgeber und empfängt im Riedbad in Bergen-Enkheim die Hamburger, die in der 2. Wasserball Liga Nord aktiv sind.
„Das Pokalspiel ist eine schöne Gelegenheit, sich mit einer 2. Liga Mannschaft aus dem Norden zu messen und für uns eine erste, ganz grobe Standortbestimmung. Wohlwissend, dass wir uns noch in der Vorbereitung befinden. Zum Gegner aus Hamburg können wir nicht viel sagen, ein Aufeinandertreffen hat bis dato nicht stattgefunden. Daher wage ich keine Prognose. Wir freuen uns jedoch auf die Partie und hoffen, dass die Hamburger durch die lange Anreise schwere Arme und Beine haben werden“ so Sebastian Held augenzwinkernd.
Als Neuzugänge seitens der Frankfurter können bereits Daniel Boros und Andrea Tafuro offiziell vermeldet werden. Daniel Boros stammt aus Ungarn und ist mittlerweile in Frankfurt als Arzt tätig. Im EFSC Team wird er auch aufgrund seines taktischen Verständnisses sicher vielseitig einsetzbar sein. Andrea Tarufo spielte bislang in Italien in allen Ligen (1./2./3.) und ist ausgebildeter Centerverteidiger, der jedoch auf seiner starken Physis auf diversen Positionen spielen kann.
Held weiter: „Wir müssen nun erstmal schauen, wie wir die neuen Jungs auch spielerisch integrieren. Bislang haben wir nur ein Trainingsspiel absolviert, das gewonnen wurde, aus dem wir aber noch keine finalen Schlüsse ziehen können. Unsere Konzentration gilt aktuell der Kraft und Kondition, somit verbringen wir aktuell 80-90% der Trainingszeit mit Schwimmen.“
