Diesen Samstag stand das erste Heimspiel der Schwimmvereinigung Krefeld in diesem Jahr auf dem Plan. Nach dem überraschenden Auswärtserfolg gegen Cannstatt am vergangenen Wochenende, wollte die SVK den nächsten Sieg.
Wieder mit dabei waren die noch im letzten Spiel gesperrten Lukas Stöffges und Roland Tatar. Der Gast von der Weinstraße hatte in den letzten Spielen beachtliche Ergebnisse erzielt. Diesen wollte Krefeld unter keinen Umständen unterschätzen.
Schon früh im Spiel zeichnete sich ab, dass Krefeld an diesem Spieltag Zuhause nichts anbrennen lassen wollte. Bis zum Ende des dritten Spielabschnittes stand es für die Hausherren bereits 10:3. Trainer Gabor Bujka wechselte im gesamten Spiel durch und gab den jüngeren Spielern erneut viel Einsatzzeit. Wie auch im letzten Spiel, zahlte sich dies aus.
Krefeld stand hinten kompakt und nutze vorne ihre Chancen konsequent aus. Erneut erwischte Torhüter Sebastian Vollmer einen Sahne Tag. Im letzten Viertel betrieben die Neustädter noch Ergebniskorrektur. Am Ende stand es 13:8 zugunsten der SVK.
Kapitän Yannik Zilken lobte die Leistung seiner Mannschaft: „Wir haben heute ein sehr gutes Spiel gemacht. In der Verteidigung waren wir erneut hochkonzentriert. Paul hat einen sehr guten Center gespielt. Damit ist die Wahl zum „Spieler des Tages“ zu Recht auf ihn gefallen. Ein besonderes Lob gilt heute den jüngeren Spielern. Sie haben wieder einen super Job gemacht. So kann es weiter gehen!“
