Diesmal gestaltet sich die Aufgabe allerdings noch einen Tick kniffliger: Am Wochenende müssen die Schwarzgelben gleich beide Partien gewinnen, wenn auch in der Meisterschaft den Sprung auf das Siegerpodest geschafft werden sollen. Immerhin: Im heimischen Freibad gelten die Duisburger als eine Macht, während die Gäste sich erst an die Freiluftverhältnisse gewöhnen müssen.
Die Gäste von der Havel sind nach dem 15:9-Heimerfolg zum Auftakt entschlossener denn je, die große Chance auf den ersten Medaillengewinn der Vereinsgeschichte im Erwachsenenbereich nutzen, nachdem es im Nachwuchsbereich bereits reichlich Podestplätze und auch mehrere deutsche Meistertitel geregnet hat. Die Aufholjagd gestaltet sich damit aus Duisburger Sicht noch um einiges schwieriger.
Auf die Fans der Sportart wartet am Wochenende dabei nicht nur eine der schönsten Freiwasserspielstätten Deutschlands, sondern auch noch dicke Dosis Freibadwasserball.
