Die SVK unterliegt gegen Duisburg 98 mit 5:7
Die SV Krefeld 72 trat am Dienstagabend, den 20.02. stark ersatzgeschwächt gegen den Aufstiegsfavoriten der DWL B-Gruppe Duisburg 98 an. Mit Yannik Zilken, Janek Neuhaus, Konstantin Munz und Paul Huber fehlten gleich vier Stammspieler. So kam der junge Nachwuchsspieler Vincent Eich zu seinem ersten DWL Einsatz.
Dennoch starteten die Krefelder sicher in das Spiel, standen sehr gut in der Verteidigung und gingen durch Kristof Hulmann in Führung. Die 98er nutzten gleich zwei Überzahlsituationen zur Führung, bevor Dusan Dragic aus der zweiten Reihe ausgleichen konnte. Kurz vor Ende des Viertels lief die SVK dann doch in einen Konter, den die Duisburger erfolgreich abschließen konnten.
Im zweiten Viertel neutralisierten sich beide Mannschaften weitgehend. Leo Vogel, der sehr aufmerksame Keeper der Krefelder, konnte im Spiel einige brenzlige Situationen klären, indem er sehr schnell aus seinem Tor heraus kam. In der 13. Minute war er allerdings gegen den gegnerischen Center einen Augenblick zu spät dran, so dass er ihn nur auf Kosten eines Strafwurfs stoppen konnte. Den verwandelte Duisburg dann zum 2:4. Das blieb allerdings die einzige zählbare Aktion des Viertels.
Diesen Vorsprung konnten die 98er nach einem leichten Ballverlust der SVK auf 2:5 ausbauen, bevor Moritz Pohlmann und Dusan Dragic mit zwei sehenswerten Centertreffern nach Zuspiel von Istvan Keresztes den Anschluss zum 4:5 wieder herstellen konnte. Als Ben Boffen zum Schluss des Viertels einen „Sitzkonter“ für Duisburg nicht verwandeln konnte, ging es mit diesem Ergebnis in die letzte Pause.
In Unterzahl musste die SVK dann den nächsten Treffer hinnehmen. Zwar konnte Leo Vogel mit einer Glanzparade den ersten Schuss der Duisburger abwehren, der Ball landete jedoch dann nach einigen Stationen so unglücklich beim Gegner, dass der keine Mühe hatte zu verwandeln. Die Krefelder hatten dann gute Chancen, wieder heranzukommen, Istvan Keresztes mit einem Rückhandwurf und Frederic Neber mit einem Pfostentreffer konnten den Ball aber nicht im Tor der Duisburger unterbringen. Als aber den Duisburgern Mitte des letzten Spielabschnitts ein erfolgreicher Konter gelang, war das Spiel de facto entschieden, obwohl kurz vor Schluss Moritz Pohlmann, dem jungen Center der SVK, noch sein zweiter Treffer gelang.
Letztlich haben die 98er das Spiel, das durch sehr sichere Abwehrarbeit auf beiden Seiten geprägt war, mit ihrem besseren Überzahlspiel für sich entschieden. Bei den Krefeldern, die sich durch ihre Spielerausfälle wenig beeindrucken ließen, stimmte die kämpferische Einstellung und lieferten ihre jungen Spieler ein ordentliches Spiel ab. Das lässt am kommenden Samstag in Neustadt auf einen versöhnlichen Abschluss der Hauptrunde hoffen.
