Im fünften Versuch hat es endlich geklappt. Die Bundesliga-Wasserballer des SV Poseidon Hamburg haben gegen die SGW Köln mit 16:9 (4:2, 4:2, 4:4, 4:1) ihren ersten Saisonsieg feiern können. Im heimischen Inselpark setzte Patrick Weik, 25, die Akzente gegen den Aufsteiger vom Rhein. Torjäger Weik – 17 Treffer bislang in der Saison und zweitbester Schütze in der Liga – traf per Strafwurf zum 1:0, sorgte im dritten Viertel für die Vorentscheidung per Hattrick und schloss die Partie mit seinem siebten Treffer ab. Poseidons Trainer Pavle Japaridze, 34, zeigte sich zufrieden: „Wir haben einfach gut verteidigt und konsequent die Überzahl erfolgreich genutzt.“ Köln wurde nur gefährlich, wenn der slowakische Center Igor Cagalinec (4 Tore) angespielt werden konnte oder wenn Jugend-Nationalspieler Robin Toth beim direkten Freiwurf aus 6-7 Metern warf. Poseidons Neuzugang Sven Bach, 4, Claudio Sambito, 3 und Vincent Hebisch, 2 erzielten die weiteren Tore für den Liga-Fünften (4:6 Punkte, 52:52 Tore). Das Bruder-Duell Toth/Toth ging zwar an den Kölner Robin, er traf dreimal, doch sein Bruder Tamás freute sich selbst torlos über zwei Punkte für Hamburg. Nächsten Sonnabend, am 2.12. empfängt der Tabellenfünfte Poseidon den Spitzenreiter Duisburg 98 im Inselpark (19 Uhr).
