Das Sommerende naht, und zum anstehenden Saisonabschluss wird in der Wasserball-Hochburg Hannover noch einmal um Pokaltitel gekämpft: Im Freiwasser des Volksbad Limmer werden am Sonnabend von 11:30 Uhr an in einer Doppelveranstaltung die Bezirkspokalsieger der Männer und der U11 gekürt.
In der von Gastgeber Waspo 98 Hannover IV, SpVg Laatzen III, SC Hellas-99 Hildesheim III und dem bereits feststehenden Bezirksmeister TuS Syke beschickten Männer-Endrunde wird es in jedem Fall neue Medaillengewinner geben, da die im Vorjahr erfolgreichen Teams zu Saisonbeginn allesamt in die wieder ins Leben gerufene Oberliga Niedersachsen/Bremen abgewandert sind.
Beim U11-Nachwuchs wird es auf der traditionsreichen Waspo98-Vereinsanlage am Stockhardtweg eine Dreierrunde geben: Hier stehen sich die SpVg Laatzen, der Wolfenbütteler SV und Waspo 98 Hannover im Titelkampf gegenüber, so dass auf die Fans der Sportart noch einmal ein dicker Wasserballsonnabend wartet.
