Die Arbeit der SVL-Offiziellen während der Sommerpause trägt erste Früchte. Adrijan Jakovcev, Kapitän und letzte Saison mit 62 Treffern bester Torschütze des Teams, hat seinen Vertrag verlängert und wird in der kommenden Spielzeit auch in der 1. Bundesliga für den SVL auf Torejagd gehen. Der 31-Jährige, der seine 4. Spielzeit in Ludwigsburg bestreiten wird, hat sich in den letzten Jahren zu einer tragenden Säule der Mannschaft entwickelt und ist als Führungsfigur auch für die jungen Spieler ein wichtiger Bezugspunkt.
„Wir freuen uns, dass wir Adrijan überzeugen konnten. Die Gespräche waren stets auf einer vertrauensvollen Basis und beide Seiten haben schnell signalisiert, dass sie die Zusammenarbeit fortsetzen möchten“, berichtet Abteilungsleiter Jan Wörsinger. „Nun kann das Team um Jakovcev geformt werden.“
Hier ist ebenfalls der erste Schritt getan. Der 17-jährige Jugendnationalspieler Filip Zugic wechselt vom SV Cannstatt nach Ludwigsburg. Zugic war vor seinem Engagement in Cannstatt bereits in Esslingen und bei der Spielgemeinschaft Leimen/Mannheim aktiv. „Filip passt genau in unser Anforderungsprofil. Er hat großes Potenzial und ist motiviert, seine Fähigkeiten beim SVL noch zu verbessern. Außerdem besitzt er trotz seines jungen Alters schon einiges an Erfahrung auf der Center-Position“, freut sich Wörsinger.
Die SVL-Verantwortlichen befinden sich bereits in den nächsten Gesprächen und sind zuversichtlich, bald weitere Erfolgsmeldungen zu verkünden.
