U17-Wasserballer mit Überraschung in den Bundesliga-Playoffs

Nach der langen Spielpause von vier Wochen und einer anstrengenden Vorbereitungsphase, kam es am vergangenen Samstag zum ersten Viertelfinale dieser U17-Bundesligasaison zwischen dem SSV Plauen und unserer U17 des ASC Duisburg.
Aufgrund des tollen dritten Platzes aus der Vorrunde genießt der Amateur in diesem Viertelfinale im Rückspiel das Heimrecht. Die Vogtländer konnten sich in der gerade mal eine Woche zurückliegenden Relegation deutlich im Heimspiel gegen den OSC Potsdam durchsetzen. Unsere Jungs waren also gewarnt.
Auch in der U17-Bundesliga erwartet die Plauener Gegner immer ein volles Haus. Auch zu diesem Viertelfinale kamen über 100 Zuschauer, um die Plauener Mannschaft anzufeuern.
Trainer Frank Lerner konnte zu diesem Spiel mit der besten Mannschaft antreten. Hieß es doch die gute Platzierung aus der Vorrunde, Platz 3, zu unterstreichen und eine gute Ausgangssituation für das Rückspiel zu erzielen. Der ASCD als das jüngste Team der Liga, alle Spieler gehören zum sogenannten „Jungjahrgang“ 2000 und jünger, ging top motiviert und hoch konzentriert in diese Begegnung.
Trainer Frank Lerner: „Ich hatte genug Zeit die jungen Spieler nicht nur taktisch und physisch, sondern auch mental auf diese Begegnung vorzubereiten. Wir wollten von Beginn an zeigen, dass wir voll da sind.“
Das Konzept ging auf! Wurden noch im ersten Viertel einige hochkarätige Chancen liegen gelassen, gelang den Amateuren im Laufe des Spiels mehr und mehr.
Mit dem engen Pressing und dem schnellen Umschalten auf eine Zonendeckung unserer Jungs, kamen die Vogtländer nicht klar. Das, was an Schüssen auf das schwarz-gelbe Tor kam, konnte fast immer von unserem gut aufgelegten Schlussmann Marius Neuens, entschärft werden.
Unser Center Freddy Rott wurde im Angriff meist von drei Gegnern attackiert, das gab allerdings Vitor Capucho-Pavicic (2001) die Freiräume, die er braucht, um seine Gewandtheit voll auszuspielen. So kam Vitor nach einem tollen Spiel heute auf 6 Treffer!
Aus einer sicheren Abwehr, um den wieder sehr stark aufspielenden Kapitän Bela Basso, heraus, rollte Angriff auf Angriff, so dass es nach dem dritten Viertel 9:4 stand.
Alle Spieler kamen zu ihrem Einsatz und konnten sich so Erfahrung für weitere Aufgaben erspielen. Am Ende ein ungefährdetes 11:7 aus Sicht der Amateure! Ein super Ergebnis für das Rückspiel. Die Freude war groß!

Trainer Frank Lerner: „Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem professionellen Auftreten meiner Mannschaft. Ich denke, wir haben unsere Vereinsfarben würdig vertreten. Für das junge Alter der Jungs spielen sie schon jetzt oftmals sehr abgebrüht. Unsere Stärke ist unser Überzahl – und Unterzahlspiel. Heute hatten wir eine 100%-Ausbeute bei Überzahl und eine 80%tige bei Unterzahl.
Die Jungs merken, dass sich die ständigen Wiederholungen in den vielen Trainingseinheiten richtig lohnen und gehen daher ganz anders ins Training. Unsere verstärkte Arbeit in den letzten Wochen an Physis und Technik hat sich heute ausgezahlt. Doch noch ist nichts gewonnen! Wir müssen auch das Rückspiel bei uns zu 100% ernst nehmen und bis dahin sehr konzentriert weiterarbeiten.“
Das unsere Jungs so weit kommen in dieser Saison hätte vorher niemand gedacht! Doch jetzt wollen die Jungs und der Trainer auch weiter…
Am Samstag, 14.05.2016, um 15:00 Uhr findet auf unserer Freibad-Anlage (ASCD) das zweite Spiel im Viertelfinale statt, in dem die Amateure das Halbfinale perfekt machen wollen. Kommt vorbei und unterstützt die Jungs auf diesem Weg!
Im Anschluss fährt das gesamte Team zum Final-Four des DSV-Pokals und unterstützt die 1. Mannschaft! Alle Fans sind herzlich eingeladen beide Mannschaften zu unterstützen.
