• Waspo and BPM also met in the prelims, the Italians won both matches. 11-10 here in Hannover and 12-7 in Busto.
• Waspo needs to pass Italian tests on all three days here: on Day 1 they met Recco (10-14), on Day 2 came Brescia (8-11) and now BPM.
• BPM lost to 2014 champion Barceloneta in the quarters (7-12), then was downed by 2016 champion Jug (8-11).

• Waspo’s Montenegrin cannons Darko Brguljan and Aleksandar Radovic both netted 6 goals here. Radovic is still in the hunt for the top scorers’ crown as he stands with 36 goals, one behind Olympiacos Konstantinos Genidounias (37). Brguljan has 31 goals.
• BPM’s top scorer is Stefano Luongo with 27 goals, though he stands 1 goal from 10 shots here. Radomir Drasovic is next with 18 goals.
• As for the goalies, Moritz Schenkel had 19 saves on 43 shots for 44.2%, this is the 8th best among the keepers (he faces the highest number of shots among all). BPM’s Dejan Lazovic had 16 saves on 30 shots for 53.5%.
