Wasserball-Nachwuchs des OSC ohne Punktverlust im blu
Erfolg auf der ganzen Linie im blu am Wochenende: Während sich die „Zweite“ des OSC Potsdam im ostdeutschen Wasserball-Pokal mit einem 18:1 gegen die HSG TH Leipzig ins Viertelfinale des Wettbewerbs schoss, überzeugte auch der Nachwuchs der hiesigen Wasserball-Abteilung. In der Endrunde des U16-Ost-Pokals (Jahrgang 2002 und jünger) hielt sich die Mannschaft der Trainer André Laube/Peter Driske schadlos und holte mit 8:0 Punkten und 98:19 Treffern die Trophäe an die Havel.
„Das ist der erste größere Titel, den dieser Jahrgang gewinnen konnte“, so Laube. „Dennoch geht es noch besser. Wir wollen diese Mannschaft weiterentwickeln. Da stecken einige große Talente drin.“ Gleichwohl wisse der Coach, dass die Mannschaften von Spandau und Neukölln dieses Wochenende wegen paralleler U18-Verpflichtungen und Krankheitsausfällen nicht komplett waren und daher das Ergebnis zu relativieren sei. „Dennoch ist eine tolle Sache“, sagt Laube.
Mit einem 35:1 gegen den SWV Plauen, in dem sich zehn der elf Feldspieler in die Torschützenliste eintragen konnten, eröffnete der OSC am Samstag das Turnier. Gegen die Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 am Abend tat sich Potsdam dann sehr schwer. Nach schneller 3:0-Führung durch Kapitän Marc Lehmann (2) und Noel Eisenreich wurden zum Teil riesige Chancen nicht genutzt. Zwar blieben die Hausherren zu jedem Zeitpunkt in Führung, nach zwischenzeitlichem 6:4 drohte aber durchaus Gefahr. Zum 13:9-Endstand trafen Lehmann (6), Eisenreich (4), Levin Lill (2) und Simon Kuhn.
Am Sonntag wurde der Erfurter SSC mühelos 38:4 besiegt, wobei vor allem Eisenreich nicht zu stoppen war und allein elf Tore beisteuerte. Gegen die später zweitplatzierte SG Neukölln im letzten Turnierspiel lieferte Potsdam die stärkste Leistung. Aus einer sicheren Defensive mit einem überragenden Erik Dortmann zwischen den Pfosten heraus überschwamm der OSC den Berliner Konkurrenten regelrecht, vergab aber zu Beginn einige Großchancen. Dennoch endete der erste Spielabschnitt nach Treffern von Lill, Eisenreich und Kuhn 3:0. Im zweiten Durchgang erhöhte Kuhn auf 4:0, bevor Neukölln erstmals einnetzte. Kuhn traf zum 5:1, beim Stand von 5:2 ging es in die Halbzeit. Vorentscheidend setzten sich die Hausherren im dritten Viertel ab. Zum 9:4 trafen Tilman Voigt, Eisenreich und Kuhn (2). Im letzten Abschnitt erzielten Eisenreich, Kolja Wichmann und Voigt die Treffer zum 12:5-Endstand.
