Für die Wasserballer des SV Ludwigsburg steht am kommenden Samstag um 19 Uhr im Stadionbad Ludwigsburg ein Traditionsduell an. Die Mannschaft aus der Rheinpfalz um Trainer Janusz Gogola spielt bisher eine überraschend starke Saison.
Die Pfälzer werden das Ludwigsburger Team rund um ihren Trainer Sven Schulz am kommenden Samstag im heimischen Stadionbad fordern. Mit den Neustädtern, die vor ihrem Aufstieg die Beletage des Deutschen Wasserballs ebenfalls jahrelang in der 2. Wasserballiga Süd aktiv waren, lieferten sich die Schwaben in den vergangenen Jahrzenten schon einige emotionale Duelle. Auch das Hinspiel verlief ähnlich dramatisch und über eine lange Zeit ausgeglichen. Am Ende entschieden die Gäste das Spiel in den letzten Spielminuten mit 10:8 denkbar knapp für sich.
Die Ludwigsburger stellen sich auf ein hart umkämpftes Spiel ein.
„Sie sind für mich das Überraschungsteam der bisherigen Saison. Das liegt sicherlich einerseits an der mannschaftlichen Geschlossenheit, aber vorallem auch an der hervorragenden Arbeit von Trainer Janusz Gogola. Er hat im Hinspiel bereits seine taktisches Verständnis eindrucksvoll unter Beweis gestellt, daher müssen wir mit allem rechnen“, äußert sich Abteilungsleiter Jan Wörsinger.
Lars Blankenhorn hat sich nach überstandener Verletzung zurückgekämpft.
Ungeachtet dessen möchte der SVL den zweiten Heimsieg einfahren und hat sich dementsprechend fokussiert auf das Derby vorbereitet. „Wir haben in der vergangenen Woche weiter an unserer Spielidee gearbeitet und den Gegner analysiert. Wenn wir unser Spiel spielen können, glaube ich an einen guten Ausgang für uns“, kommentiert Kapitän Adrian Jakovcev zuversichtlich.
Daher muss sich der SVL auf ein sehr ausgeglichenes und spielstarkes Team einstellen. Wieder im Kader der Ludwigsburger steht Lars Blankenhorn und voraussichtlich auch Linkshänder Bosko Krivicic nach überstandener Verletzungspause.
Die Wasserballer freuen sich über jede Unterstützung und sind optimistisch, zusammen mit den heimischen Fans die Punkte in Ludwigsburg zu behalten.
