Nach der Punkteteilung im letzten Spiel hoffen Trainer und Mannschaft auf einen Sieg
Im letzten Spiel der DWL-Hinrunde hat die erste Herrenmannschaft des SV Krefeld 72 es am Samstag, dem 16.12. um 18.00 mit dem SC Neustadt zu tun, der Überraschungsmannschaft dieser Saison in der Pro B Gruppe. In der letzten Saison rangierten die Pfälzer nach der Hauptrunde auf dem sechsten Platz und konnten den Abstieg in den Play-Downs gegen den SV Cannstatt sicher mit drei – wenn auch zum Teil knappen – Siegen abwenden.
Aufhorchen ließen die Neustädter mit einem 10:9 gegen Wedding bereits am ersten Spieltag, dann mit einer knappen 11:12 Niederlage bei Duisburg 98 und einem 8:6 Sieg gegen Plauen. Im DSV Pokal trafen die Krefelder vor heimischen Publikum bereits auf Neustadt und mussten sich ersatzgeschwächt mit 7:8 geschlagen geben.
Alles spricht also für ein spannendes Match im Badezentrum, für das sich die SVK fest vorgenommen hat, diesmal das bessere Ende für sich zu haben. Leicht wird das nicht, denn der Gegner ist mit fünf Torschützen, die bereits um die zehn Treffer erzielt haben, schwer auszurechnen und bringt den Schwung aus einer bisher sehr erfolgreichen Hinrunde mit.
Allerdings können Gabor Bujka und Werner Stratkemper nach dem letzten Spieltag zum zweiten Mal in dieser Saison auf den kompletten Kader zurückgreifen. Janek Neuhaus, der nach langer Verletzungspause erstmals wieder zum Einsatz kam, konnte gegen Wedding bereits unter Beweis stellen, wie wichtig er für seine Mannschaft ist.
