knapp 8 Jahren konnten die Seidenstadtgirls dann die Serie des Rekordmeisters beenden
und eine neue Ära einschlagen. Damals gab es einen großen Umbruch in der Mannschaft
der Bochumerinnen, was nun in dieser Saison bei den Bayer Damen der Fall ist.
Bochum ist in dieser Saison ähnlich wie letztes Jahr einzuschätzen. Sie verfügen weiterhin
über erfahrene Spieler und haben wenige Neuzugänge dazu bekommen. Gegen Chemnitz
spielte Bochum ähnlich wie die Seidenstadtgirls, daher erwartet die Mannschaft ein Spiel auf
Augenhöhe. Nach den ersten Punkten gegen den Hamburger TB und den SC Chemnitz,
gehen die Mädels vom Waldsee Top motiviert in das Spiel am Samstag. Wenn die
Leistungen der letzten Spiele auch gegen den Rivalen aus Bochum aufgerufen werden kann
Trainer George Triantafyllou ist optimistisch: „Wir werden immer besser. Das Zusammenspiel
klappt gut und die ersten Punkte haben uns einen enormen Motivationsschub gegeben. Wir
spielen gegen eine erfahrene Mannschaft, aber wenn wir bis zur letzten Sekunde kämpfen,
können wir hier Punkte mit nach Hause nehmen.“
