Kommenden Sonntag (26.11) reisen die Männer des SV Bayer Uerdingen 08 nach Hannover, um den direkten Konkurrenten White-Sharks Hannover wichtige Punkte im Kampf um die Pre-Play-Offs zu entführen. Anpfiff ist um 18:00 Uhr
Schon am zweiten Spieltag machten sich die Tim Focke Männer auf die Reise nach Hannover. Damals wurden sie vom Top-Team Waspo Hannover regelrecht „verspeist“ (2:25). Diesmal heißt es gleiche Stadt, gleiches Bad, aber anderer Gegner. Die White-Sharks stehen Punktelos am Tabellenende, haben aber dennoch immer gute Ergebnisse gegen die anderen Mannschaften erzielt. Trotz ihrer Tabellensituation, wissen die Herren vom Waldsee, dass sie die Männer aus Hannover nicht unterschätzen dürfen. Gerade in ihrem Spielstil, ähneln sich die Hannoveraner mit dem OSC Potsdam. Auch sie haben junge und Konterstarke Spieler. Gerade auf die Konterstärke der Hannoveraner müssen die Bayer Herren aufpassen. Schon beim Spiel am Samstag gegen den OSC Potsdam (8:14), fingen sie sich einen Konter nach dem anderen und gerieten sehr schnell und sehr deutlich in den Rückstand. Deswegen setzte Trainer Tim Focke in dieser Trainingswoche gezielt auf Konterübungen.
Für Torhüter Dustin Bauch könnte das Spiel am Sonntag zu einem sehr emotionalen Spiel werden. Er erlerne bei den White-Sharks das Wasserballspielen und schaffte dort unter anderem auch den Sprung in die Jugendnationalmannschaft. In der letzten Saison wagte er den großen Schritt nach Uerdingen. Hier übt er aktuell eine Ausbildung als Bankkaufmann aus. Wenn es am Sonntag nach Hannover geht, wird Dustin Top motiviert in das Spiel gehen: „Ich freue mich auf meine Heimkehr nach Hannover. Schon in der letzten Saison wurde ich dort immer nett empfangen. Es macht immer wieder Spaß gegen meine alten Mannschaftskameraden zu spielen. Doch auch wenn ich mich noch sehr verbunden zu diesem Verein fühle, möchte ich die Punkte am Sonntag mit in meine neue Heimat nehmen!“.
