Am vergangenen Samstag mussten die Wasserballer der SG Neukölln beim Amateur-Schwimm-Club Duisburg antreten und unterlagen, nach hart umkämpften 32 Minuten, mit 14:11 Toren (3:3 / 3:2 / 3:3 / 5:3).
Die Duisburger legten einen Start nach Maß hin. Innerhalb von 5 Minuten stand es 3:0 für den letztjährigen DWL-Drittplatzierten.
Dieser Vorsprung konnte jedoch von den Schertwitis-Schützlingen noch im 1. Viertel egalisiert werden und man ging zu Beginn des 2. Spielabschnittes sogar 4:3 in Führung. Die Zuschauer sahen danach ein sehr faires, spannendes Spiel auf Augenhöhe, mit abwechselnden Führungen.
Am Ende des 3. Viertels stand es 9:8 für den ASCD.
Im 4. Viertel häuften sich dann auf Neuköllner Seite individuelle Fehler, die von den Duisburgern konsequent bestraft wurden. Mit 4 aufeinander gefallenen Treffern zogen die Rheinländer auf 13:8 davon und entschieden vorzeitig den Ausgang des Spiels.
Die anschließenden 3 Neuköllner Treffer zum 13:11 von Molnar, Schlotterbeck und Buchholz kamen leider zu spät.
Den Schlusspunkt setzten dann wieder die Gastgeber. Tobias Gietz erzielte 7 Sekunden vor dem Abpfiff das 14:11.
Die Spielmacher auf Duisburger Seite Gietz, Schüler und Eidner hatte man gut im Griff. Aber leider machte ein Jan Bakulo heute den Unterschied aus. Der 26 jährige Litauer erzielte 6 Treffer und wurde verdient zum Spieler des Tages gekürt.
Für die SG Neukölln im Einsatz waren:
Florian Thom, Martin Andruszkiewicz (2), Yannick Arnhold (1), Joel Buchholz
(1), Tom Völkel (1), David Kleine, Marek Molnar (2), Andreas Schlotterbeck
(2), Sascha Pacyna, Aleksandre Kazakhishvili, Spencer Hamby (2), David Rösch und Jan Zoske.
Weiter geht es für die Neuköllner am 11.11.2017, in der 3. Runde des DSV Pokals. Angetreten werden muss beim B-Gruppen Vertreter SC Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Der Anpfiff wird um 18:00 Uhr erfolgen.
Die nächsten Heimspiele der SGN finden am 18.11.2017, um 18:00 Uhr gegen Waspo Hannover und am 19.11.2017, um 11:00 Uhr gegen die White Sharks Hannover statt, wie üblich in der Sport- und Lehrschwimmhalle Schöneberg.
