Abendroth-Pokal erneut mit Achterfeld
Zu den Höhepunkten in der Vorbereitung auf die neue Spielzeit in der Deutschen Wasserball-Liga (DWL) zählt regelmäßig auch das internationale Turnier des SC Wedding um den Abendroth-Pokal, das in diesem Jahr vom 28. bis 30. August im Kombibad Seestraße stattfinden wird. Zur 42. Auflage konnte der Erstligist wieder ein attraktives Achterfeld mit Teams aus fünf Ländern gewinnen, wobei aus der DWL neben dem SC Wedding noch der OSC Potsdam und der SVV Plauen ihre Teams zu diesem ersten Saisontest ins Rennen schicken werden. Beim Gastgeber wird der zweimalige Olympiateilnehmer Sören Mackeben sein Debüt auf der Trainerbank der Nordberliner geben. Der jetzt bekanntgegebene Spielplan hat folgendes Aussehen:
