Gegen den aktuellen Tabellenführer ASC Duisburg (16.00 Uhr, Inselbad Untertürkheim) rechnen sich die Schwaben keine Punkte aus. Vielmehr geht es um „Schadensbegrenzung“, wie SVC-Trainer Jürgen Rüdt erklärt.
Dabei denkt Rüdt mit Schrecken an die Hinspielniederlage in Duisburg zurück. Zum Saisonauftakt hatten die Westdeutschen dem SVC mit 6:19 die Grenzen aufgezeigt. „So wollen wir uns dieses Mal nicht mehr zerlegen lassen“, sagt Rüdt. Er glaubt auch zu wissen, welche Fehler man gegen die Duisburger vermeiden muss: „Wir dürfen uns nicht mehr so viele Ballverluste im Rückraum erlauben. Wenn wir ausgekontert werden, sind wir chancenlos“, hat er festgestellt. Im Angriff hofft Rüdt, dass Ex-Nationalspieler Florian Naroska wieder fit ist. Er pausierte unter der Woche wegen einer Grippe. „Dann haben wir mit Timo van der Bosch und Florian zwei Center die sich abwechseln können und vor allem den starken Verteidiger Julian Real binden“, hat er sich überlegt. Und zum Abschluss hofft er noch auf einen Sondereffekt: „Wir besten Spiele hatten wir gegen starke Mannschaften.“
